Luca Bucci Biography

Luca Bucci Biography
Luca Bucci (born March 13, 1969 in Bologna) is a football goalkeeper for Parma F.C..
After a few years in some minor leagues, such as Serie C1 and Serie B, Bucci made his Serie A debut, playing for Parma in a league match against Udinese on 29 August 1993. The next year, he was first capped for the Italy national football team, and he was part of the azzurri as third goalkeeper for the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

At Parma, Bucci was however overtaken by the 17-year-old keeper Gianluigi Buffon. He then decided to leave the team in order to play more regularly. After playing six months for Perugia, Bucci joined Torino of Serie B in 1997. Bucci played for the granata until 2003, when his contract expired and he decided to join Empoli. However, in Empoli he was not able to play at his best, and he even became a reserve in the end, leaving the team at the end of the 2003/2004 season.

Bucci moved back to Parma in January 2005 to replace Gianluca Berti who left for Torino F.C., after six months of inactivity. He is currently the playing goalkeeper for the team.
